At HealthLinks Gippsland we aim to link people to the health modalities that they need through our range of allied health services.
To continue to grow and expand our clinics and the services that we offer to the regional and rural communities of Gippsland whilst operating in a sustainable manner, both economically and environmentally.
We have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development for our team, regularly bringing presenters to the region who are experts in their field. Inviting local service providers across Gippsland to educate our team about services that they can offer our patients, in our beautiful region.
Our Vision
To encourage the people living in rural and regional communities across Gippsland to value their health, to help support them to make links with their own health and to link them to great health professionals.
We aim to make these links to healthcare accessible for people of all ages through:
- Allied healthcare services that we offer across our clinics
- Continued support and education of our patients
- Established networks we have with other health professionals and service providers across the region.
HealthLinks Gippsland strive to be providers of excellence in allied healthcare.
The HealthLinks Story
Principal practitioner, Dr Belinda Coulton, first established East Gippsland Osteopathic Clinic in Orbost in 1998. Belinda saw a future for the region and invested in a purpose built clinic that was completed in 2004, at its current location 17 McLeod Street, Orbost. Several associates joined her once this new facility was completed.
Belinda was joined by Dr Patrick Callanan in 2007 and the Orbost clinic expanded to support four full-time Osteopaths. Then Belinda and Patrick combined other aspects of their lives.
In 2009, they made the decision to move their family to Sale and the practice naturally expanded further to include the plans for development of a clinic in Sale.
In 2013, Belinda and Patrick purchased and renovated 375 York Street, Sale which has become the central ‘hub’ clinic. Almost immediately, they were operating at full capacity. The success of the clinic has attracted other allied health professionals to join Belinda and Patrick in their desire to offer a broad range of allied health services.
In 2015, osteopathic treatments commenced in Bairnsdale, as the demand for osteopathic services grew the decision was made to purchase and renovate their own clinic. In February 2020, on the cusp of the pandemic, the Bairnsdale Clinic opened at 126 McKean Street, which despite the timing, has continued to grow.
With the goal to make Osteopathy the central choice in healthcare across the region, the business expanded to the community of Traralgon in 2017, probably one of the boldest moves yet! Merely four years on in 2021, we opened a new clinic at 90 Grey Street, Traralgon.
Our newest clinic opened in October 2021 and is located in Yarram at 125 Commercial Road, under Red Roof Studios.
Our most recent addition to servicing the Gippsland Region is our room within Trafalgar Primary Care at 5 Contingent Street, where we have been operating since July 2023.
Our efforts have been rewarded. In 2019 EGOC won the Federation Business School’s ‘Gippsland Business Award’ in the Health and Wellbeing category. In addition, our Principal Dr Belinda Coulton won ‘Osteopath of the Year’ for 2020-21 at the Allied Health Awards.
As a result of the expansion and the accolades, it seemed that the name ‘East Gippsland Osteopathic Clinic’ didn’t really reflect the true nature of the business any longer. As a result, after almost 25 years, at the end of 2022, we hung up the EGOC banner and rebranded our team as HealthLinks Gippsland.
In July 2023, Dr Mitchell Evans has been welcomed on as a Director of the company. We are incredibly proud of Dr Mitch taking on this huge responsibility of helping Dr Belinda and Dr Patrick shape the future of HealthLinks Gippsland!
